This is the real reason we went on the Chicago trip was to make a difference in the world! And yes that is more fun than eating the best pizza in Chicago!
This is our group
of volunteers.
These numbers represent what we accomplished after each volunteer session of packaging food.

If you started to complain about getting tired, just look around and you would be reminded of why you were there. It is to help these starving children. It definitly kept the fire going under me.

These are rolled up rice bags. After all of the rice has been packaged for meals the bags are also sent over seas to be given to the families who also receive food so that they can use these bags as their rooftops.

Chicken, veggies, soy, rice anyone?
These are the four ingredients packaged and sent to the starving children.

Some of the volunteers. We loved the hairnets, they had to be worn to make sure everything remained sanitary in the packaging room.

After each packaging session we prayed over the food so that the food would not only make it there safely, but nourish these children's bodies.

Sealing and packing

Weighing and sealing

measuring and bagging

We were able to sample the food that we packaged so that we knew what the kids would be eating in a few days time. It was really pretty good, and smelled just like the Ramen noodle chicken mix.

This is an actual dirt cake made by a mother overseas. She makes these to give to her children so it will fill there stomachs to make them fill full and to get them to stop crying out due to hunger.

Just lounging in downtown Naperville, IL with Heather.
This is my Geocaching pose! NICE

My mom and dad on our chicago trip, this was also in naperville.

These are some friends I met on the trip, although they weren't ones to hold a conversation with me.

Jason and Heather Aldridge, two of my dearest friends.

Dad, Mom, PollyAnna, and Jon

All of us eating the famous Chicago Pizza! YUM

More friends from Shelbyville who went on the Chicago trip.

Our family went on Vacation from May 9th- 16th. We had so much fun together playing games and seeing all of the sites. We were able to relax and take a moment for ourselves and realize how good God is to bless us with such a good family and the time to take off. The memories that we have from this vacation are irreplaceable and wonderful.

Out of all of the activities to do at sea world this was probably one of the most exciting things for Ethan, besides the slide, to play and climb on these rocks.

Alex is showing us what a big boy he can be!!

He loved the slide... can you tell?

This is the condo where we stayed for the week. It was so relaxing and beautiful. I really wanted to start a job search down there because I did not want to come home to the Indiana "summer".

This show was so funny, you couldn't help but laugh at the sea lions and the jokes they were pulling on their trainers.

This was a really amazing show! It was so much fun to share this with our family and to see the looks on our nephews faces when shamu started to do tricks!
